Areas of Practice

Feasibility Studies

We can determine if an existing building or site is suitable for your dream project and help establish a cost base to find out if you have found the right place for your new project.  We can provide a brief overview or an in-depth analysis depending on your needs.

L.E.E.D. Certified Projects

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (L.E.E.D.) is a multi-category, multi-tier third party building certification program that promotes low-impact design and building practices.  James Guerrero is a LEED Accredited Professional and can consult you if you are interested in your next building being certified.

Schematic Design

This is the precedent research and analysis of the property. Through the process of meeting with you and getting your input and feedback on the designs, we narrow the options down to a design that includes everything you were envisioning for your project.

Passive Homes

Households account for nearly 22% of total energy consumption in the United States. Almost 75% of that energy is for space heating and air conditioning.  It is now easier to use solar panels and other means to produce all of the energy needed to operate the home leaving very little demand from the grid.

Permits

At JGA we can get your project through the permitting phase no matter what phase your project is in when we join in.  Some of the permits that we specialize in are Pre-Application Conference, Conditional Use Permit, Design Review, and Building Permits.

Low Impact Site Design

Low Impact Development refers to the restoration of pre-disturbance hydrologic processes of infiltration. This is accomplished through pervious paving, rain gardens (infiltration swales), rainwater collection and retention for later use in irrigation, and green roofs which allow rainwater to be used by and evaporated from plants on the roof.
