We redesigned this residence around the pool area and the lake view in the backyard, to take advantage of the natural beauty surrounding this home. Naturalism is incredibly crucial to the spirit of this design. A house that fits seamlessly into both the South Sound region and its lakefront neighborhood were both high aesthetic priorities. The large windows and french doors allow residents to move freely from inside to outside while connecting the spaces under a covered patio and fireplace area. The covered patio enjoys radiance from skylights during the day and ceiling lights during the evening, making it a relaxing space no matter what weather the Pacific Northwest has in store. The wooden accenting on this house ties it with its surrounding pines, the stones & bricks moving up out of the extended patio, the tall sloping roofs matching up with the Cascades in the distance. The house has a rustic feel to it, almost reminiscent of a log cabin with all the amenities of modern living.
