JGA has been doing many outpatient-clinic tenant improvements for the local business, Olympic Sport & Spine. The challenge with these projects is to follow the client’s same patterns and needs for each location, but within a completely different space each time, and meeting the varying requirements of whatever city in Washington the next clinic will be popping up in. There are some consistencies amongst the projects. For example, each new space includes a window-walled break room where the employees can do computer work, have lunch, take a break, etc., while still being able to keep an eye on the gym floor. LED diffused light panels keep light levels even and are dimmable in areas with tables, where a person might be laying down for a therapy treatment and wouldn’t want to be staring into the light. Some of the clinics offer different types of physical therapy which require unique installments, such as a huge CMU wall to throw things against, or a long strip of artificial turf for we’re not sure what. All of the locations share the same clean modern aesthetic, with brushed steel hardware, a variety of LED applications, and subtle-yet-interesting geometric forms.
